With its 1.8 million inhabitants, Hamburg is a beautiful, maritime, modern, friendly and fascinating city and federal state of Germany. The free and hanseatic city is located in the north of Germany, about 100 km from the North Sea. The world‘s largest passenger aircraft, the A380, is manufactured in Hamburg and the city houses Europe's second biggest harbor. Hamburg is famous for a wide range of arts and culture, city parks and beaches along the rivers Elbe and Alster. In the historic center, the Town Hall, the churches and old ware- and storehouses, are situated harmonically along with the HarborCity quarter.
